Negotiation is a dance: you can either follow someone or take the lead. Either way, the parties will develop a relationship that works for that particular 'dance'.
Mediators generate negotiation between the parties. That process requires particular skills and approaches which are more nuanced than negotiating directly. Very few mediators get the chance to refine their skills outside the mediation room.
This short course will give you a chance to take risks, learn new skills, how they work and practise with real-life examples. It will also give you a better understanding of risk assessment and 'reality testing'.
