In the foundation training for mediators, the focus is naturally on core skills and process management. The idea of creativity is ever present  in the foundation training and the opportunity for creative solutions is one of mediation’s great advantages.  However, newly accredited mediators need to develop the skills and experience to be able to generate creative solutions and that is more art than science or theory.

In this series of advanced skills courses, creativity is a central theme. The skills and practices used by artists, musicians, actors,

photographers and other creative disciplines are reframed for mediators, senior managers and professionals who want to take their interpersonal and negotiation skills to the next level.

Join us for what we promise will be a very stimulating series of professional development courses and an opportunity for you to reflect and learn from your own experiences with the help of seasoned professionals.

At the end of this short course, you will

This short course will give you a chance to take risks, learn new skills and how they work and practice with real life examples. It will also give you a better understanding of risk assessment and ‘reality testing’.

Mediator Recharge, Reboot and Renew

Start the New Year with this booster programme!

Our work is about helping others to make good decisions. Sometimes the route to a good decision is paved with strong emotions, fear, aggression and sadness. Our commitment to confidentiality and the isolated nature of our work can make it difficult to process the after-effects of mediations which may touch on feelings that we have ourselves.

In this two-hour webinar, you will learn the signs, skills and strategies for building the capacity to manage the effects of mediating cases where strong emotions and very difficult situations have taken their toll.

At the end of this short course, you will

      • be able to spot the signs that you need to pay attention to your own well-being.
      • find strategies for recharging and rebooting your ‘hardware’ and ‘software’.
      • find strategies for managing cases which might trigger your own experiences.
